Those who teach and encourage shunning, abuse religious and organizational authority, robbing people of years spent with those nearest and dearest to their hearts. People grow older, alone and cut off from their friends and family, with no companionship, no love, no help and practical support. When faced with an emergency or illness, they cannot turn to former friends or the family that shuns them. In many cases, they receive no inheritances. Worse still, a person may die alone, abandoned by their family.
Truly, shunning is an evil that invades every facet of human intercourse and destroys it.
No person or group should be free to inflict such damage. Shunning, in undermining important human relationships, undermines the very fabric of society.
This site seeks to raise awareness about shunning and its devastating impact.
